Cloudflare caught Perplexity red-handed using stealth crawlers that disguise themselves as regular Chrome browsers to scrape websites that explicitly denied.
Perplexity’s response: Calling Cloudflare’s investigation a “sales pitch” and claiming the bot in question “isn’t even ours” though millions of daily requests suggest otherwise.
